Honestly I'm not that sad that Miiverse is ending because its closing was kind of inevetable. Just think about it, The Wii U's life cycle is coming to a close and the Switch is replacing it, and since a lot of people are probably going to move away from the Wii U to the Switch it probably be more profitable to end the services on the Wii U and focus more on the Switch.

Or you put Miiverse on the Switch. Better then nothing + compatibility to wii u + 3DS (which is still going strong)

interesting point, but I feel that there was a good reason it wasn't put on the Switch, because the people at Nintendo aren't idiots and they probably thought about putting Miiverse compatibility in the Switch but found a good reason(s) to not to

If its such a good reason why can't they explain it to us? Even though the wii u failed, why do you have to kill off a functioning and active community which trusted and enjoyed your failed experiment?

Well remember Nintendo is a business, which tries to earn money. So because of that the costs of running Miiverse were really high, they thought it could be better spent somewhere else.

My question is why does everyone hate the wii u and love the switch? Nintendo promised something new and exciting but they only gave us another wii u that has a longer range gamepad... Ha Ha Ha. And people love it! Why? It's basicly the exact same thing. If I'm missing something here, please tell me.
