交通新聞社によるとその駅は、「東成田駅は島式ホーム2面4線の構造だが、現在は片側のホームが閉鎖されて実質的に1面2線となった。閉鎖されたホームの壁にはかつての『成田空港』の駅名標がそのままのこるほか、目を凝らせば『スカイライナー』の乗車位置を示す札や1991当時の広告が残っている旧ホームに通じる改札内のコンコースは閉鎖されているが、改札外には大きなレリーフのある広いスペースがそのまま残り、かつての賑わいを思いだたせる」と書いてありました。　長文失礼。
