I feel like it would make sense for Ice-types to resist Water-type attacks but be weak to Scald, but since Scald is by far the best Water-type attack in competitive the change would really only serve to nerf Ice-types rather than buffing them

    I'm guessing that the reason why Ice hasn't been buffed defensively yet is because The Pokemon Company WANTS Ice to be the worst defensive type.

    Because they think that them having good defensive stats makes up for their typing

    I dknt think it makes sense for ice types to resist water types. Because ice usually melts when in contact to water. Unless you're not talking about real life logic.
