    You're able to exercise more patience because what you desire requires a great deal of it. I experienced the same thing back when I used to chain for shinies with the pokeradar in Diamond.

    Here something, When I was using the Dexnav at random, just messing with it, and I never knew that I could find shinies with it, I found a shiny Trapinch and I was freaking out! Oh and guess what? When I was playing Pokémon white2 I was trying to find a Trapinch, and what do I find? A shiny one right after that! What luck.
