My friend's girlfriend is banned from watching MLP. Her parents say its too childish & she can't watch it anymore. I plan on confronting her parents about their idea of the show. Until then, I will bootleg her episodes @ school when she wants them. The problem is, what should I tell her parents? I can defend male fans easily, but how do I defend a female fan who is frowned upon by her parents?

    She's tried to reason with them multiple times. I feel some new minds in the mix could help the conflict. I just don't know how to deal with a female fan being pushed away. She needs help, I just don't know how

    It's still not your argument to get involved in. It's incredibly rude to try to tell someone's parents (especially parents who you aren't closely acquainted with) how to raise their child. Give your friend and his girlfriend some new points to bring up, but don't personally get involved. You don't want to be "that rude kid."
