Ok, so I finally got Smash for Wii U, and as soon as I tried to play I got a disc error I got a new disc the next day and both were clean would I be better off returning the disc and just downloading it on my Wii U or is there a way to fix the error? Please help if you can.

  • I say just return it and download it onto your wii u is better.I have the disk and just a little scratch caused 4 characters to crash my game.Im going to get the digital version later on but for now I guess its fine.(those four are Rosalina(my second main:{),Kirby,Samus, and Mega Man.

  • Dod you buy it used from gamestop? I did and had to get it replaced 2 times before this copy which works great so if you got it there just return it and A. get another copy or B. Get your money back and buy a new copy.

  • 3 things, 1., disk is bad. GameStop is bad for giving used copies to customers, had to take L4D2 back 3 times to get a working one. 2., did the game update? That's important. If it did update, erase all the data and try again. Sometimes the update installs bad and will cause the game not to work. 3., are you using a 32 gig ( black ) or 8 gig ( white ) Wii U? Maybe if using a white you ran...

  • ... out of room for the download. If you do have a white Wii U and don't have a external hard drive, I would not recamend downloading it cause the game, updates and possible dlc stuff would cause you to run out of room fast! But I would erase the smash data first before taking it back again and try to reinstall the updates, accually that is a big problem I hear a lot of.

  • Couple of things that might solve the problem: - Make sure that the disc is not scratched badly. If it is and you've got it from GameStop, that means you need to get a new disc and don't get a used one. A digital version is a good option, but if you got a Wii U that have 8 GB of data, I wouldn't recommend getting it digitally. - Make sure it don't have smudges. If it does, wipe it off with a...

If it's doing that to the other disc, that means something's wrong with your Wii U and you should call the Nintendo Customer Support Center to get it fixed. If the Wii U plays the other disc just fine, that...
