    I wouldn't be worried about having too many coins unless you are at around 90K coins. You'll use them to catch the Special Event Pokemon, S rank the main stages to unlock the Expert Stages, and use the coins to buy items to catch the Expert Pokemon. Trust me, there's no such thing as having too much coins.
