fox tips (or any combo character in general)

i play mario and fox and i can never get any combos down or win, tips?

    Spam his gun it's weak has no nockback but it's one of the fastest projectiles in the game if not the fastest

    A good kill combo is side tilt to a running upsmash(make sure to read their DI). Try to land the side tilt at around 100 percent, sometimes they'll spin in their animation. If they do, as long as they hit the ground, they can't roll out of the way.

    Fox doesn't really have too many combos outside of some follow ups off of up tilt. Fox is mostly about speed and pressure, he makes up for his lack of true combos by being able to punish just about anything. If you play fox you want to work on your reads and focus on your aerials and faster moves more than anything

    I would definitely recommend watching some top players like LarryLure and MegaFox. LarryLure is the better player of the two, but watch both, there great Fox players.

    fox, from what i know, doesn't have many combos as everyone seems to think. try falco. he's a little slower, but still fast enough to wreak havoc. plus he falls slower. just sayin... btw, rolling is a good way to get behind an opponent and strike them that way. its also a good alternative if your shield is low. thats all i got.

    no dont roll!! that is a really bad habit beginners do if your trying to get really good at this game (witch im asuming you are) try to go a whole match without rolling trust me its for the better

    how should u approach as fox? and when should u use side tilts? i find both of these a problem, i barely tilt in games and when i appoach, they kill me

    I don't use Fox much, but you could probably use the side tilt to space them out then either punish it if it hits them or retreat if they shield(possibly intercept their punish with your jab).
