The NX launch line up is going to be great, I mean, it has to, right? They must be working on something...

VR is interesting but sort of still in that premium space Nintendo has not played in much right now... at least if done right. They might continue to be very cautious.

The NES Mini apparently uses a new emulator which I would be surprised if they reserve only for that product. The big question is probably how virtual console will be sold next generation. Will NX be like android or iOS where you can count on it being an operating system where the same software can be downloaded to future hardware? Will they go subscription based? Will they make us pay $1....

...upgrade fees again? I don't know how many times they can keep making us repurchase the same games. They'd be smart to go subscription from a business perspective, but I hope not. I like owning stuff. I kind of wonder if products like NES Mini will be the way you can own and you can only subscribe on NX.

I do think the NX will be either a hybrid (as heavily rumored) or at least a unified operating system so that should help with not making multiple versions on VC titles. That is the biggest promise of NX from Nintendo themselves. The only thing they confirmed was their goal of not continuing with the split development problems.

Intrigued and happy to see 3D Mario images so soon, but want more info on power/features (not that I'm not already sold). Curious they won't answer if it has touch controls. I get why they would not want to push that part & muddy message since it would only work in portable mode, but still hoping it does for art/Mario Maker ports. Would be nice if break out controllers do old Wii controls too.

I'll check on the art event later. I saw something in activity feed but did not look over yet. Will read up on later and might have more time this weekend (not much today/tomorrow)

wii controller/nunchuk compatability would be a great bonus to me. Touch screen too, the art world of Miiverse has been amazing. Nice lineup of supporting companies with big hitter games present. no mention of cross console compatability, whether it'll have any disk slot or eshop wiiu games yet. I'm not on board for day 1 purchase, but I'm on board so far.

I would be a little disappointed if no touch or backwards compatibity for the Wii, VC, and Wii U games I bought from Wii U eshop. If they port and enhance Mario Maker and you can use touch when not docked for games like that and Miiverse/art apps, my excitement level will double. I do hope and expect Nintendo will do something for an upgrade incentive for people who bought Wii U.

It'd be great if my thousands of MyNintendo points were finally able to be used for something really cool! I've only so much opinion on what User X did at the weekend!

I did not even sign up for MyNintendo yet because I haven't really purchased any Nintendo products in a while, but they should let people register their Wii U for at least 1 free Wii U port/remaster on Switch or something like that.

For me it's day one purchase, as I was totally blown away by the Nintendo Switch advert. I can see it hopefully having similar success to the 3ds and ports of Skyrim and Witcher 3, which are portable versions too is totally awesome. Nintendo always have some type of touch screen controls, for their portable devices since the original DS.

I am sure I'll pick it up regardless. I like the design of it & think they did a good job promoting the main features. They were smart keeping 1st introductory advert. simple but it's largely what was already rumored, so I'm not too blown away. I'm excited to learn more & if they confirm even more of my hopes for system and if it exceeds expectations on graphics, my hype level will go even higher!

They were smart using plenty of third party software, it was a dynamic and modern advert. Price is going to bethe thing now... I expect a £300 - £349 pricing
