Just watched the new Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay trailer and I have to say...currently it's tied with BotW for my most anticipated game. Still love BotW but Mass Effect is just looking too beautiful to ignore, this new environment was like a cave inside the Matrix. Plus, being Mass Effect, you already almost there's going to be a very interesting plot and tons of lore.

    And it really seems like they're on top of it...no hesitation in his voice when he said the door would be officially opened in November. I have a feeling 2017 will be an amazing, if not downright ground-breaking, year in gaming.

    Yeah, I really don't understand when people moan about the state of modern gaming when there's been some awesome games these last few years and that looks set to continue! The new footage of Horizon: Zero Dawn looked rather nice as well. It's a shame EA ruled out an HD remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy for current gen as I still have it for PS3 but no PS3 to play it on anymore.

    It is a good one, just tend not to keep a lot of my old consoles as I'll generally trade them in for the next plus with remaster collections etc I can have almost all my favourites on my current device. My PS4 came with TLoU remastered for example and I have the Bioshock trilogy on pre-order. Did love my PS3 though.

    Yeah, it had some ace remasters/HD collections. My favourites were Ico/SotC, Okami, MGS 2/3/PW and Silent Hill 2/3. My Vita is now the home for the PS1 classics I bought on there thanks to cross-buy! The main games from the console I miss and would love to replay though are Dark Souls and Demons Souls.

    Being a big platforming fan my favorite remasters were the Jak and Sly collections. I also love the Dead Space and Mass Effect trilogies, had a lot of fun with the Arkham games, and looking forward to trying Demon's Souls Dark Souls, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, and the original Pac Man World. I see the PS3 as a package supplying you with a very wide range of quality titles from past and present.

    I never really played much of Sly, liked the developers other series Infamous though. Jak & Daxter was great, felt the series kind of lost it's identity though as it went on feeling more like Ratchet & Clank. Dead Space 1 & 2 were fantastic survival horrors and as a big Batman fan loved the Arkham Games. Remaster collection of those is in November I believe. Souls are a must for LoZ fans imo!

    Sly is a lot different than Infamous...I actually prefer Sly. Infamous took this GTA style, Sly 2 and 3 had elements of that as well but the focus was always on the stealth/platforming, and I also found the characters, story and atmosphere a lot more memorable. Sly 2 in fact currently has my favorite villains in any video game. I agree I really liked Jak 1 but Jak 2 is sitting at a 7 for me

    at the moment. It totally lost its identity, the developers have even talked about how they started looking at the current market for inspiration, saw how kids were loving GTA 3, and decided to model Jak 2 after that. Jak 2 is a shameless GTA 3 rip-off, and I heard Jak 3 was similar in gameplay style.

    Yeah, I played the first one. Seemed fun just too much else to play at the time. Might give the HD trilogy a look on Vita. Liked the first two Infamous games but obviously the best superhero titles on the console were the Arkham ones!

    Hopefully, it looks like they're on the right track. Not a massive fan of Insomniac but it being it's own thing and not being forced to link to the new films is good.

    I agree, I don't like Insomniac either and was very surprised that they were taken on for this project, as their games are primarily weapons-oriented and I never considered them masters of movement or world design..but the trailer looks really great, tons of emphasis on Spider man as a character and how he will interact with his city and enemies.

    It's because of Sunset Overdrive more than anything else I reckon, lot of people said getting around the world in that game was the best thing about it. If they get one of the comics writers on board like Rocksteady did with Arkham then it could be good.
