Pokémon Shuffle

Well it has been a busy week, but with Darkrai done now and Victini (plus a few S/M Exp. Boosters) I have (re)Maxed Zoroark (13), Genesect (15) AND Yveltal (15), So I'm ready to finally tackle Mega Alakazam! I'm seeing less Gengar and more Rayquaza as mega on top teams lately, and they have also shifted from big bugs (Scyther/Genesect) + Yveltal to Heavy Dark sinister power teams with Hoopa(U).

Genesect and Yveltal are my 7th and 8th Level 15 pokemon! (I suspended work on Mew to jump them ahead.) The others are Charizard, Groudon, Blastoise, Raikou, Sableye (sigh...), and Suicune. Zoroark is the first Pokemon I have used RMLs on that can't reach Lv.15, but ever since it got a skill level bump it has been seeing more play, so I thought it would be worth it.

Now to decide on my team. The sinister power team Ray, Zoroark, Hoopa, Yveltal, has higher potential if everything goes right, but I can't count on getting triggers pre combo too often. As for Big Bugs, I don't have Scyther past Lv.10, so Hoopa needs to fill in there too. So Zoroark or Genesect? I think I'll make a few Itemless runs with each first and see which seems to be going better.

Hmm, ... interesting. No mega start option this time! My Gengar and Rayquaza are both fully spedup anyway, but this might explain why Gengar was in more than ussual earlier. (SE didn't hurt either) Well this will make the competition cheaper anyway. I might make an extra run too. (I sorta bugeted 10 to 15k for itemed runs) I'm assuming that with Yveltal Disruption Delay won't be too great.

Surprisingly I seemed to get more consistency with the Zoroark team so I made my first attack power up run with it. Sadly it took me about 7 turns to get Ray online! I'll wait for some hearts and try again later.

Better. That will do for now. It should be safe for a top prize anyway, but I may do more experimenting and try another run later. I could probably break 100k on this one. It is rare to get a competition where making competitive runs is this cheap!

I would have suggested the exact same team you used. Even with two S cookies SP isn't the most reliable thing, but when it does trigger and Mega Ray takes off... Forgot to ask you this, but how many cookies did you use to get Genesect to SL4? I'd like to restore CC to pre-patch levels but I'm not sure about the investment...

In total it took me 10 Small Cookies and 1 Medium. It was a lot, and I dropped a couple of jewels on Eevee to get more smalls for it, but Genesect is one of my favorite pokemon. (Twas my 1st ever steel type, and also my first legendary apart from the birds in gen. 1 maybe.)

I think for Blastoise, (which gains Levels at the same rate, I think) I used 7 smalls and 2 mediums, which was slightly less efficient. (minor overflow)

Hmm, I may as well just use my L cookie on Genesect then, since smalls are versatile with a lot of abilities. I'm holding off on feeding him RMLs because I'm working on Glalie now, 105 AP Ice type with SL5 Chill once I find the time to grind it could be one of the most powerful options around. I may put Speedups on him too because his Mega Effects are great.
