Level 75 Darkrai escalation battle: team was M-Steelix (no candies), Jirachi, Xerneas (L9, SL4), and Pinsir. Bought Attack ↑ and Move +5 and do not regret wasting 800 coins seeing 6 moves remaining at the end. Xerneas' Quirky+ skill is actually detrimental in this battle because I don't want to get rid of anymore of his icons without doing damage with them, as Jirachi and Purrloin are bad.

  • yeah bringing xern at the coin stages is detrimental because there is a chance that the coins will be removed by quirky :/ eitehr way, skill swapper at stage 50 is pretty good

  • Quirky+ (and regular Quirky for that matter) are *excellent* for coins! I believe you are thinking of Swap(+) and Stabilize(+). Quirky Pokémon get rid of copies of *themselves* which makes them perfect for Sunday Meowth. It's why I levelled Xerneas' skill.

  • Another thing to add about coin interactions: Eject (+, ++) only eject Pokémon icons, not disruptions which is what coins count as. Mega Aerodactyl will eat coins if they are higher than blocks or rocks on the playfield! Mega Steelix is on a block only diet so your coins are safe (sadly so are the rocks).

  • Ah that's right! Thanks for clearing that up. And you are right about quirky, it doesn't remove coins

  • Level 100 down at the end of week 1. Replaced Jirachi with a Mega Start and Heracross and did great! I would say Level 75 is tougher because of Purloin.

  • 125 down but not sure how much further I'm going as this is my best team and it was looking pretty grim until Darkrai setup a disruption that took out 2 rows and placed a bunch of M-Steelix for me!
