this keeps happening

i bought another gamecube controller from the game store and i took it home,pluged it in and BAM! its broken... this is the third "new" controller that broke on the same day i bought it. this stinks...(fyi i only have 1 gamecube controller and a game pad)

    Have you heard of The gamecube styled classic controller pro that connects to the wiimote? Its basically has the gc button layout but behaves as a ccp.

    Wow, that sucks! I use a pro controller or if I need to use a Game Cube controller, I use one that acts like a classic controller.

    @pkdreamurr thats interesting but id rather not use a battery powered wiimote for smash its kinda terrible even if its connected to a pro controller

    Look up Wired Fight Pad (they go in the Wiimote), they look just like Gamecube controllers (Mario, Link, etc., as the color of the controllers). They feel almost like the real thing!
