伊東本社開発記　今回は、新路線の野木線の紹介をします。野木線は、野木駅と(北)隣町を結ぶ路線で、2両編成の気動車が走っています。沿線はほとんど発展していません。なぜこの路線を作ったのかと言うと、これまで大都市の(北)隣町に行く路線は矢板線のみでした。そのため、西予町の住民は遠回りをして半日かけて(北)隣町まで行っていました。ですが、今回、野木線が開業したことによって所要時間が大幅に短縮し、便利になりました。次回からは野木線の駅を紹介していきます。
