Question

Project Zero 2 Wii Edition.

I'll be starting Chapter 8 of Project Zero 2 Wii Edition today. I think that I read somewhere that watching certain scenes in this chapter affects which ending the player gets in this version. I was wondering, are these scenes optional/avoidable, or is there something that triggers them/marks them as special? No story spoilers please!
