    I don't like having to worry about using an item before hearts run out so I go with fairy.

    I usually use red potions and like have a spare fairy on hand. Potions heal more so. I also like and have gotten use to pausing and drinking the potion. It helps me regroup and get back into the fight. Potions have been streamlined in SS, where you can basically do it on the fly anyway.

    Fairy. Double healing won't do you much good if you take an unexpectedly damaging hit that knocks out all your remaining hearts before you take a drink... On three-heart runs and Hero Mode/Masterquest runs this is especially dangerous.

    I use fairies more, and they are awesome tools if you die against a tough boss, but I'd like to see Lon Lon Milk more readily available, maybe even replace potions. Maybe that's because I really love milk lol

    I would use the lon lon milk more because you can drink it twice and save the second half for a boss battle or something.
