Adam's thoughts: Sonic Mania Being a kid that completely grew up on Sonic, I have a very special place in my heart for the little blue speedster. I have VERY fond memories of staying up til 1 in the morning to beat Ice Cap,or make it to Metropolis Zone act 3 only to fall in a pit with my last life. Ither way, the magic and speed of those games BLEW UP my lil 7 yr ol mind. (continued in comments)

I was ALWAYS in aw with how cool the games were. Although there were better games out then, I always played Sonic Mega Collection on my PS2 up until I got a Genesis for my 12th birthday. That was really all I played then.

Now, Sonic Mania captures an almost spot on childhood feeling I haven't had in YEARS! The magic feeling of blasting through bright and colorful worlds at the speed of sound. I get chills literally EVERY TIME I SEE THE TRAILER. I almost feel like my fond childhood memories arebeing completely reborn when I watch it.

The feeling I get when I watch the trailer or a video showing footage is indescribable. Knowing that the literal hero of my childhood is back and is better than I even remembered. When they were around I was always in the middle of their arguments and would always get the worst of it. My only escape from the constant chaos was locking myself in my room, booting up Sonic Mega Collection on my PS2, and playing away. If I didn't have Sonic to run to when my life went to chaos, who knows what i'd be doing today.

Although kids at my age at that time idolized their parents, maybe a singer, or someone else, my childhood hero was a little blue hedgehog named Sonic. So, being able to relive the good parts of my childhood in a new form is completely amazing in every way possible! So, you can bet i'm pre ordering this and picking it up on day 1 for sure.

Are you talking about that trailer with classic AND modern Sonic in it? That looks incredible! And I'm with you when you said Sonic was your hero as a kid. I thought he was better than Mario back then. And a part of me still does!

I feel the same. I haven't been this hyped for a game in years. Sega was smart to have Chris Whitehead work on this. His mobile versions of Sonic 1 & 2 are incredible with nice extra bells and whistles. I am going through Sonic 1 as the Sonic 3 version of Tails and having a blast with exploring. So yeah I have zero doubt that Mr. Whitehead is going to create the best Sonic game in decades!

I love the blue hero... the first Sonic Game I ever played was Sonic Classic Collection! I loved running around as Sonic. Then When I played Sonic 2 when I saw Tails appear... My reaction was "WOAH! Who is that adorable fox!?" Lol... 6 year old me... Or was I 7? Anyways when I got Super Sonic... My exact rection was... ":O OMG! OH! OOOOOHHHH! OOOH MY GOODNESS! OOOHHH!!!"

Yeah.. Good times... I still have that game! But... when I started up Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I was like "OMG!! HOW DID THAT RED GUY KNOCK TEH EMERALDS OUTTA SANIC!?" heh.. Then I found about THE SUPER EMERALDS... Whenever I see that cutsene... MY MIND JUST IS AMAZED! And then Hyper Sonic. "OH MY MY GOD! OOOOOOHHHHH! OH MAN! GET THE CAMERA! OOHHH BABY A TRIPLE OH YEAH! AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

I also like the modern Games... They we're fun. I played Sonic Gens, Colors, And the... Sword one... Then I played Sonic CD On a (Admin Censor)... &... I... FRICKEN LOVED IT TO DEATH! So... I basically love Sonic just as much as you do Adom.. I'll love Sonic to the very end... Even when I'm dead.

When I saw the reveal of Sonic Mania, I was so excited!! The memories of playing the classic Sonic games came back to me. This definitely has the classic Sonic vibe to it! I'm so looking forward to getting this game!!
