Reminder that SEGA is doing a Genesis Classic Edition and a portable system along with it. It's also packed with 80 games. Inb4 someone says "SEGA/Genesis does what Nintendon't."

  • @boB: Not really sure. Did they? I saw it on GoNintendo.

  • I've heard of it and its garbage. A good chunk of the games are the shovelware kind, you cannot save, it has an infrared controller that only works when directly pointed at the console, sound issue, etc. The NES Mini still looks better than it.

  • Yeah, that was it. only 40 games were Genesis, the other 40 were dumb Chinese games It also had a cartridge slot that barely functioned.

  • Oh, so this thing has been around for awhile. I was wondering why not many people were talking about it. I saw an article of it posted on GoNintendo this morning.

  • @boB, Yes, that's the one. From the looks of it, Sega took that one and repackaged it. They probably rerelease that Genesis Mini to take advantage of the retro nostalgia generated by the NES Mini. I seriously doubt Sega has the money and resources to produce another Genesis model, even if its a smaller one.

  • Based on the quality of the Genesis Mini (or whatever its called), Nintendo already won the battle before it even started.
