There is speculation that the worn clothes you find when you start BotW were what Link wore be his long rest. I don't know though, because when you put them on they're a little too small.

    I was saying he COULD have aged. Maybe the stuff he was in only slowed down his aging. After all, I certainly don't remember any previous Link having hair long enough to put into a ponytail. Just a theory. I'm not one to put my all into Zelda theories, as it will inevitably drive me crazy. (Two words: Plot holes. Massive plot holes.) ...That was a lot longer than intended.
