I'm currently trying to get a friend into Zelda. He's in Great Jabu Jabu's belly right now from OoT (If your oh so curious, he's also played WW, and is on Dragon Roost Island). Anyways, he keeps calling Jabu Jabu a "Giant Fish Thing" and Lake Hylia "That lake place", and it's really annoying me. At least it's a new young fan of Zelda!

  • Ok, first off, If you are trying to get someone into the The Legend of Zelda, do not give them Ocarina of Time, it is too, how do I put it, Strange. it put the Zelda franchise in a frustrating monotony for so long, with every game after Oot, being the same except with a few differences. While I do like TP, that is for someone who knows Zelda, so I reccomend you give them A Link Between Worlds.

  • Just to start them off on their quest to save Hyrule for many times to come.

  • I started with Ocarina of Time, and now I love the series! Also, he's already to Jabu Jabu's Belly, why stop now. Oh, it's also my third favorite Zelda game so it can't be that bad :P

  • Also, yes, Wind Waker is VERY similiar. Super similiar. So is Skyward Sword. Super similiar. Hmmhmm.

  • Now that is true, Oot was "Revolutionary", but, my first Zelda game was Oot, and it was super confusing, I could not get into it, and then the first Zelda game I ever beat, was a Link Between Worlds, because it was, fun, interesting and not convoluted, like Oot (no offense towards the game) When I beat LBW, I felt like a Hero saving 2 kingdoms, while in Oot you are kind of told to...

  • Also not to mention, the bosses are practically the same. Find the weak point, use the dungeon item on it, and slash it with your sword. In Skyward Sword however, most of the bosses are "Find a glowy eyeball, shoot it with an arrow stab it with your sword, and what was with the shield mechanic? For say, BotW, it fits because of how real everything is, but in SS, it just comes off as being tedious.

  • Meh, whatever. OoT is what he gets! >:D

  • If your friend gets into Zelda and is looking for a CHALLENGE, Give him Phantom Hourglass, it took me several years to beat Phantom Hourglass. I have not played Spirit Tracks yet.

  • No, he's looking for an enjoyable experience. He found it. And it's called OoT.

  • Wait never mind you were just saying for later lol
