Sonic Mania (#theTRUEsonic4)

(For the record, I use to hate Sonic 4. *Ep1* But now that I look at it as a self contend thing, I actually think it's a decide game. But the problem was it was based off the hype of Sonic 3 & Knuckles that it obviously couldn't live up to.*)

    @ May&Kirby2 I agree with all your reasons but I have a question for you would you like to see other characters playable maybe as dlc like shadow, amy, silver, blaze, ect. They would play no role in the story since it is a classic sonic game. They would have their own strength and weaknesses like shadow using his chaos sphere as a homing projectile but is slightly slower than sonic.

    Classic Amy would play as she was back in Sonic Advance. (Or the Amy in Sonic 1 hack) I can't see Silver or Blaze in a Classic Sonic game, But I can totally see Shadow as a 100% unlockable Character. He would play like he did back in Sonic Megamix. (Should I mention that one of the developers actually worked on Megamix?)

    @May&Kirby2 thanks for clering that up but I can see blaze playable. She could have her boost from sonic rush to destroy enemys. And silver can grab enemy fire and shoot it back at them. He would probably have a special button to press witch makes a little indicater in a shape of a bubble and can capture projectiles thrown at him. (p.s. They would be extra content not relevant to the story.)

    You know. Sonic 4 has not aged well at all in my eyes. I remember liking it when I was younger. But the both games are just rehashes of the first two games on the Genesis. And then theres the physics. My goodness, the physics. And the thing about Sonic 4 that makes me mad the most is that they couldn't even finish. I remember when I finished Ep. 2, it told me to collect the Chaos Emeralds.

    And I did just that. And then I played the Death Egg Mk. 2. And what did I just get? Nothing. After all that hard work, I got nothing apart from Super Sonic who was quite underwhelming in Ep. 2. Looks like Sonic Mania is going to be the Sonic 4 we never got.

    I have high hopes for Sonic Mania. Because Christian Whitehead is part of it. He was responsible for the remastered ports for Sonic 1, 2 and CD. Which were, in my opinion, the definitive versions. So I have no worries for this game.

    They're far more positive thinks pointing to Sonic Mania being a good game. I'm a bit more hesitant towards Sonic 2017, But we'll get to that brigade when we cross it. (It's gonna be another dissection post soon.)

    From what I've seen from that cool looking trailer for Sonic 2017, it looks like the series is going back to it's darker roots. I'm glad about that. Because I am actually really tired off this kiddy humour in the Sonic series. While I don't hate Sonic Lost World, I agree that the story is garbage and the humour is forced and unfunny.

    But believe me, the humour Sonic Lost World is as funny as the first Ghostbusters movie, compared to Rise of Lyric. That game has the type of humour that only an infant would find funny. I seriously hate that game so much. Its my least favourite game of all time. I hate it just as much as Chris Stuckmann hates Dragon Ball Evolution.

    First: I don't have the same hatred towards Sonic Boom since I was introduced to it through the Cartoon & Comics instead of the games. (Just like 2006, I never played Rise of Lyric. Thus this gives me a outside perspective to judge for myself.)

    Remember the guys who wrote Colours, Generations, Lost World and the Boom games, Pontac and Graff? Do you knoe if they might be writing the story for Sonic 2017? If noy, then we won't have to suffer through cringworthy kiddie humour and horrendous excuse for a story.

    I'm gonna close this discussion. But before I do, I'm gonna give my opinion on Sonic 2017's trailer. It's looked EXACTLY like the Crossover I was planning. Just replace the Death Egg robots with Devestator, Bruticus or Trypticon & replace Classic Sonic with Classic Optimus-Prime & "BOOM" Sonic x Transfomers crossover in a nutshell.
