～雨降りし渓谷～ #2 五新連絡線のひとつで五城～城斗間が先行開業している遠津川線の途中駅、雅名生駅です。1面1線の棒横駅です。駅前には高層マンションや旧小学校を活用した観光施設があり、利用者も多いようです。遠津川線のこの区間には元々バスが走っていたのですが、鉄道開業に伴い廃止されました。バス運転の時代は2往復/日だったのですが、4往復/日になり前よりは便利になったようです。近々坂下地区まで延伸する予定で、その際には本数の増加をという地元住民の声が聞かれます。
