    I never played the game but I can say it should have multiplayer being for the SNES.

    from what i've heard from other sources, much like Super Mario Kart on the 3DS, there is no way to play this game with two people. no online, no wifi, no cable, nothing.

    Yes, that should be so, but the WiiU version would have it due to the fact it has compatibility of two players.
