【江別に学ぶ“配線の極意”】 4番線を使用する事例を見てみよう。これは朝夕に多い。 9時台の手稲行162Dに見られる事例(今回は711系で代用)を解説していく。 2番線(副本線)に小樽行が入線。ここでスーパーカムイを待避する。 2番線は折り返し以外にも「優等列車の待避」として利用できるためだ。小樽行が発車するのと同時に当駅始発の手稲行が入線。 2番線に入線しようとすると、当然交差支障が発生するので、4番線に入線する。
