Mario needs a flight game...

I never understood how racing games are extremely popular and sell well but the flight genre is... terrible. The few flight games there are are mostly war games. PilotWings games are a step in the right direction but they need more endearing characters. Enter Mario Plane! Maybe borrow elements from Mario Kart, but not too many; it needs to be fresh.

    Yes and even mainstream Mario games have Mario flying as part of a feature of the game. Mario Kart gliding is just short sections and they don't deal with the more interesting flight elements such as landing well in crosswinds. I'm talking about a game that MAINS flying.

    @Wildman: That was refreshing. Even that was just using a plane as an aerial kart and it was pretty simplistic. They were nice to see though, I enjoyed them. They didn't quite handle as well as the karts I thought. Diddy Kong Racing was an outstanding game though, and had the better single-player campaign that Mario Kart lacks.

    I really hope there will be a Mario Plane King!! :D You think of so many ideas!! :D But maybe one day Nintendo really will make a game called Mario Plane!! :D It could be a racing plane game and you can practice flying the airiplane too!! :D It sounds so very fun to fly a plane!! :D Yaay!! :D

    It'll need to be something multiplayer, preferably with both competitive and cooperative options. I should point out that my idea of "flying" is where you get to fly at expectable open-world high altitudes as opposed to being kept within strict confines of a race course or mere feet from the ground. Otherwise it might as well just be another racing game.

    Multiplayer would be so very fun King!! :D You could play with your Friends and different people from around the World!! :D It would be fun to be competitive too and to help each other during different missios!! :D Oh!! :D Because you said you like PilotWings King!! :D I love your idea of the Mario Plane King!! :D
