Getting hit by lightning is the dumbest way you can die in this game. Why does lightning have to be immediately attracted to the the metalic items you have? That's not how lightning works. Getting hit with lightning is very rare so I don't even know why that is such a big freaking deal in this game.

  • @chris, Then why is it in the video game? Because it sure as heck doesn't feel like it's in the game just to be fun.

  • Those are nice tips guys but that doesn't change the fact the lightning is just as inconvenient as waiting for a certain time of day to do something.

  • Not everything is supposed to be fun man it adds difficulty. Speaking of lightning i havn't seen lightning since the 1st few days i played M14

  • What do you mean? Everything is supposed to be fun in a game. And I am not frustrated because it is difficult to play around I am frustrated because I can't play around it at all. Whenever it rains or thunders I just have to unequip everything and just wait in whatever high area I am at. This completely halts the gameplay.

  • Difficulty can be fun. I have a ton of fun fighting those lion centaur monsters and they are incredibly difficult.

  • You don't have to wait y'know i had a time where i had to go out and face a tough enemey during a storm and take my chances. It was crazy i almost got struck a few times but i was able to get a Thunderod M14

  • Yeah I guess. That specific was really annoying though. Bit if you are on the ledge of a mountain and still got a ways to go facing enemies and all a rainstorm and thunder could be really irrating.

  • I like to go horse surfing. Take your horse near a steep cliff and target w zL and make your horse surf down the mountain! Try it!

  • I am yet to try that other trick you have told me about with stasis. I wonder if I can make a horse fly if I set it on a stasis platform.

  • Woah! Good idea!

  • Yo. Imagine that happen in real life, you wouldn't go outside because it's too dangerous. You rather stay in your house until the storm is clear. This game is almost like that. You'll have to find big trees or little huts because it will shelter from it no matter what happens. Plus I don't find it annoying, it makes it more challenge and scary at the same time.

  • Yeah but in real life thunder storms wouldn't do that. And it always seems to thunder at the worst time. A good example id when I am fighting enemies on a high cliff with everything I have equiped being a death magnet. I can't fight a horde of enemies and be worried about lightning hitting me. And I can't just throw every weapon at my enemies. Timing the electricity is way to tedious.

  • Thats why i keep t least one weapon with me that isn't metal at all times M14

  • Use wooden or bone weapons/shields, wooden bow and arrows work too. Weapon variety is super important in this game.

  • Well considering I have such a small inventory stache I really want to just stick with the strongest weapons I can get. And those are all metalic. That's why being struck with lightning is so aggravating. Whenever I am in that situation I can't do anything except hide and wait.

  • Find more Korok seeds then, if you're having inventory room issues

  • On of my strongest weapons is a Wood Weapon. Got it from a Black Moblin and for a wood weapon it says its very durable M14

  • Well it's nice to know lightning becomes less of a problem the more you progress in the game.

  • Listen man. If you don't want lighting to be your problem, make sure you unequip any weapons that are metal. It tells you witch items are metal in your inventory. But if you want to be lighting proof, complete "The Thunder Helm" side quest. Complete it you won't have worry about lighting anymore. Except for the rain though.
