Is this game the same as PS2?

im really excitedfor this game but before i dive in i wantedto do some research. is this worth it on the DS?

    It's always good to do your homework. There are a lot of little additions and alterations but it's mostly the same game. I think the biggest changes are no more random encounters, no more timer on the alchemy pot, and there's a new picture taking side quest. You also get to recruit Red and Morrie now. I don't think I could go back to playing with random encounters. It makes a big difference.

    People do complain occasionally about the graphics being worse then the original version, but if you ask me, the additions that Gamesake already said are worth it by a long shot. It's my opinion of what a remake should be, the original stuff is mostly unchanged, but what they did change they changed for the better.

    They always complained. that's why there are more powerful PS4 pros out now and New Nintendo 3DSes just to appease the people who value stats over game play.
