    u must not be that old huh? 3d world is just a tiny hint of what 3d mario should be like. they stoped making them as fun to ' 'appeal to a larger audience'' . true 3d mario is super mario 64 (1998) and super mario sunshine (2002). they're worthwhile, satisfying adventures that far surpass galaxy and 3d world. (3d world is so different that it doesnt even deserve to be in the same category)

    if u ever get a chance, u should play those two games. thankfully, miyamoto said that odyssey is in fact modeled after 64 and sunshine, with a big world and multiple objectives other than completing a level. it is designed more for the ''core'' audience.
