Another element that should've been in this game is grates. They would've added more of a dynamic to levels, and they were just really fun parts of Mario levels in general, especially with the flip grates.

You can actually make "grates" by using the sub-solid platform that looks like a grate and putting vines over it.

Yeah, shake a vine to turn it into a pole or chain so you can have different looks.
