SMM DESIGN TIP #23: Powerup placement 2 In an earlier tip I encouraged the use of powerups to allow error. Here I'll state one thing to be careful of when using many powerups: damage boosting. If your using lots of powerups, try to lower the number of obstacles with obvious damage boosting opportunities. If you're obstacles are easy to damage boost it might be a good idea to limit powerups.(...)
