I might have to redo the last boss of World 8 because I used the white tanooki suit with Mario. It was too frustrating for me to play it as him. Other than that, I believe I played every level with both bros, and got at least one golden flagpole and every star coin in them.

    That's great! I... Don't really ship them with a single character? Like, I have other ships with the bros, too. There's a bunch of combinations that I find to be good. IMO, you can't go wrong with making couples in any series, as long as you are within boundaries of good taste. For example, bros. together is a no-no.

    Indeed. I see why Mario and Peach and Luigi is the more likely pairing (because opposites generally attract) But I imagine Mario and Daisy would clash beautifully still. And Luigi x Peach is just sweet.

    I agree. While opposites do attract, finding ways for clashing characters to work, find stuff they like together, eventually compromise or come to an agreement in cases of conflict, can work wonders. Such ships are great.

    Exactly! ... I find it so weird, when Peach says Luigi's name in this game, yet still mouths Mario's. I wouldn't know any better if I played the level without sound. It's quite a pet-peeve of mine, when something changes, yet it's not reflected in details like these.

    Mouth forms sounds differently enough in both cases. You open mouth wide, slant the mouth, then form an 'o' while saying 'Mario', while in 'Luigi''s case, it's closer to forming 'o' then being a bit slanted for the rest of syllables. I'm not good at lip-reading, but even then, the difference is noticeable enough for me to be a bit annoyed by lack of that detail.

    I suppose, 'm' is a pucking motion whereas 'l' is just a flick of the tongue. And then Mario ends with an 'o' shaped mouth where as 'i' or 'ee' ends with a grin
