I'm kind of wondering.... why didn't they make the Retro Arwing with a bit of a points buff to the Charge Shot? since you don't have the lock, it makes it harder to actually hit things(unless that's just me being a noob T-T), so it would make sense if it gave players a few extra points for actually hitting something

It is a challenge, I think it's about mastering manual charge. What you do have buffed is: increased speed and you shoot faster.

  • I DID notice that...but you'd think they'd reward you for mastering that skill. because frankly, to me... it takes ALOT of skill to hit something that's flying with a no-lock Charge Shot

The only real reward from it is playing the levels differently. and getting a trophy for bragging rights. The manual charge is a throw back to 64. It's key to mastering the game/ multi tasking with less energy. In zero it's a little different from 64. It doesn't only rely on the chargeshot. You'll have to mix time with efficency.

if you practice enough, you'll notice you can cancel out a high hit streak in zero. Because there are multiple actions to make up points or lose them. (You'll hit your par score despite your best intentions.) and thats a new thing that can be bleary. Just keep your eyes peeled.

I apologize for the complexity. Hope you get the most out of your game.

  • ok... and it's fine. the only thing too complex for me, is Smash Bros. underlying mechanics, like spot-dodging and achieving a perfect shield. somehow, Monster Hunter is easier to understand...at least to me. but I'm overly-weird. (as you can probably guess, from 99.9% of all my posts)
