I think the reason link hasn't the green tunic is because he isn't link at all but only a guy from the same village has zelda like the creator said this is a new type of zelda so this could be the breaking cycle of demise curse and other guys can rise and claim the triforce of courage.

    Aonuma confirmed that the tunic is in the game, and this isn't the first game were you don't start off wearing the tunic. Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and Spirit Tracks are all games in which you don't start off with the green tunic.

    The producer of the game, Aonuma, said it's in the game in a interview. It's honestly not a spoiler either, cause how you get it hasn't been said.
