Ok..... I hatched a Froakie, Iooked at the stats..: Attack: 6 Defense: 6 Speed: 6 Sp.Attack: 6 Sp.Defense: 6.... Is that 5/6 IV?

Impossible to tell at such a low level. Its IV could be all perfect or they could all be awful, and you would end up with basically the same thing at level 1. You need to use the IV judge in Kiloude to determine IVs for low-level pokemon. Either that or you have to get it up to around level 35-50 to be able to manually calculate its IVs with a small margin of uncertainty.

Sounds abit odd... usually 6IV starters tend to have at least 1 non-HP stat that is 5. Could be wrong though.

Simply can't be beat means 31 IV so if he says that for all 6 stats then yeah, got yourself a perfect 6IV Froakie there.
