Als je iemand in je dorp wilt moet je de poort van je dorp openen. Porter vraagt of je vrienden van dichtbij of veraf wilt uitnodigen. Als je dichtbij kiest (nearby) dan speel je met Lokale communicatie tussen twee tot vier systemen. Alle spelers moeten in bezit zijn van de game-card. Als je voor veraf kiest (faraway) speel je met internetverbinding. Alle spelers moeten internet hebben

Ook als je verweg doet, moeten alle speler over een (goede) internet beschikken. Bovendien moet diegene bij wie je op bezoek komt zijn poort op het station van zijn/haar dorp openen.
