I won't give away spoilers here...But holy cow this world is HUGE! I just spent the last hour and a half exploring without really going to my official next destination! I will give spoiler posts comments for those who are interested in my journey. I'm beginning to realize that I have never truly played an open world game like this before. ♭Ba da ba ba baaa. I'm lovin' it!♪

Hey RiotAct! Long time no see! Once word spreads how utterly AMAZING this game is...the Switch systems will fly off the shelves! I can now understand the appeal of an open world game. I'm free to go anywhere with no restrictions. And with the Switch, you can take this game with you anywhere! I think Nintendo was tired of all the kids (and adults) who abused the privileges that Miiverse gave us.

Too many bad posts. I can understand why it's being taken down. But it saddens me. I don't want to post my game progress to FB. None of my FB friends or family play Nintendo games :( And...Do I really need an iphone to use the Switches online capabilities? Sheash. That's a couple hundred dollars more right there!

Spoilers of my first day in Breath of the Wild in the following comments. Please don't read if you haven't played the game yet, because there are...Well, spoilers.

So I talked with my twin brother during lunchbreak today. He doesn't game as much anymore, but he still occasionally plays computer, 3DS, XBOX One and PS4. Anyway the conversation went like this... Me: So I started Breath of the Wild yesterday. It's amazing! Would you'd like to try it? Brother: I'd love to. So...You got a Switch already? Me: Nope. On Wii U...

Brother: Oh. (Long pause) I didn't know it's for the Wii U too. Can the Wii U handle it? Me: Grumble grumble grumble :(

He is often dissing the Wii U ;)

I've played the game for a few hours and I've noticed no framerate slowdown issues. I guess it helps that I only own Nintendo games and I still play old games too. So, I'm not spoiled by "Ultra HD graphics." I think there are several Wii U and 3DS games that are absolutely gorgeous! Nintendo Power all the way!

I know you don't diss the Wii U P. And I thank you for not joining the gamer bandwagon ;)

Indeed P. You aren't afraid to do your own thing. That is very admirable! However, Breath the Wild is a real good game. It's not unfounded hype. And also, look at it this way... This is the first game in a LONG time that nearly everyone is excited about on the Wii U. So please forgive us acting like loons because we're enjoying ourselves so much ;)

Well, I don't have any easy answers for you P. Sorry that everywhere you go, you are reminded of what you want but you can't have. The good news is...This current excitement we are going through? This too will pass and we'll soon be looking for the next new thing. That's why I like MH so much. It's easy to invest months or years into it.

I shot down a behive to scare away some moblins. Time to take their stuff. I'm bringing my Wii U to my brother's house later today. I'm interested to see what his thoughts are.

Experimenting with tossing bombs at enemies from above. There were 3 moblins, now there is only one. No items wasted. Yes! And this guy looks around for a minute, then he dances around the fire again. I guess his lost comrades weren't that important to him ;) My brother immediately asked how expensive a Switch is minutes into him starting BotW, so I guess it made an impact.

@Ally- Here's another snowy scene for you ;) By the way, it was 60º on Tuesday...Now there's snow on the ground here. Minnesota weather, you've gotta love it!

I'm planning to hunt with Raph in MHG tonight at 8:30pm tonight. Ha ha. It may be hard for you to believe now but there will come a time when you want to play another game besides BotW. Also Mike, please just make sure that your comments don't get too spoilery. Some here haven't played this game.

@M14- Ha ha. Bombs are great for catching fish too! I love the surprised behavoir of an enemy moments before the bomb blows up. Having the enemies more powerful and my weapons breakable really forces me to strategies before battles. It's something I never had to do before because I could easy avoid monster attacks by dodging in past Zelda games...This one, not so much.

@M14- I do too! Hopefully, I'll be back at it today after work (Fingers crossed) I'm real tempted to get a Switch soon just so I can play it more. It's that good!

Be that as it may Mike, I'm realizing that Zelda: BotW is the only MUST HAVE game on the Switch (imo) right now and I already own it on the Wii U. So having a Switch this early seems premature to me. Once (if) the rumored gamecube games become available on the Switch VC, then I will immediately Switch to the Switch. Haha.

@RiotAct- I'm glad you're enjoying it. Since the Switch is not available at my local Walmart. (It was sold out immediately at launch) and the online prices are outrageous! (People are asking $430-$850 for the selling price on Amazon for example)... I think I can wait a few month till things cool down a bit.

@P- Ah typos! My worst enemy! The Wii U hasn't risen in price has it? But I see what you're saying P. Welcome to American capitalism at it's finest! Simple supply and demand. Something's desirable, so people buy 2 or more of something then sell them for ludicrous prices. I can't blame them. Stinks for the rest of us who missed the preorder or couldn't wait in line for a day at launch though :(

@P- I'd say, wait for a price drop or bundle in the next few months... If we can wait that long ;)

@M14- Thanks for the advice.

No idea :) I found a perfectly shaped round hole in the ground that had no real purpose. Real bizarre.

@P- There's are regions that were nearly wiped out by Calamity Ganon 100 years ago. Ruins of old buildings (from past Zelda games) and such. So yeah, it is post apocalyptic.
