    Well, the thing is that it would seem inappropriate, as it is the color of blood. We don't want Splatoon to be seen as a violent shooter instead of an original kid-friendly turf war game. We don't want people to get the wrong idea about a children's game, even if there is lore behind campaign mode, or known as hero mode.
