勢いが止まらない。オープン戦第4戦が終了した。ガエンは、初回先発の威狩守が2安打で1点を失います。しかし2回2者連打と犠打でチャンスを作ると、7、8番に対し連続四球。一点を返します。さらに9～5番まで死球一つとヒットで追加点、2番フライで二死となりますが7～1番が連打。けっきょくこの回11安打13得点と大暴れしました。その裏を0で抑えなんと2回コールドバッティングの勢いが止まらずチーム打率も0.538両リーグ通じて打率トップです。
