    Nintendo does not understand that is what parental controls are for! It is ridiculous! Sony and Xbox have messaging, chat and you can send friend request! Ofc they have been doing this for over a decade now! Not to mention Nintendo's fan base concise of more 18+ then children! Seriously! Nintendo's been around since 1980 something lol, Nintendo will never get ahead with all these restrictions!

    I know how you feel!! I love the freedom I have with my Sony consoles! Definitely is not like this. See im not a fanboy [fangirl] whatever, lol! I am a gamer period! So I have other systems, always have. I love my 3ds but find it ridiculous that they just can not understand the concept that people want friends.     randoms from those sites, i want to be able to add my miiverse friends. Seems they will never care about what there customers want! Its the adults that keep them in buisness not the kids! So I find it amazing they dont even try... And yeah, freedom of speech... hmm, I think thats a thing long gone. Because it sure doesn't seem like we get it anymore :/
