    ずんぐりむっくりのレシプロ機 ブリュースターB-239バッファロー フィンランド空軍の機体でソビエト軍のI-16と空戦し圧倒的勝利を納めた 元の機体名はF2A-2でアメリカ海軍で使われていた。ちなみにこの機体を改良して作られたのが有名なF4F-3ワイルドキャットになった。アメリカ兵曰く「空飛ぶビヤ樽」と言われた(たしかにふさわしい名前だ)

    このF2A「バッファロー」は、 イギリスも使用していたが 零戦にボコボコにされ、 「使えるかこんなもん！」と言われた。フィンランドが使用しなかったら 駄作機になっていたかもしれない。
