they say his scarf is supposed to represent Snakes. When I was playing Okami on the Wii, theres a giant demon/monster thing that has 8 heads, and they are snakes. Venoct's speciat move is Octo( 8 ) Snake. Both of their Japanese names are Orochi, but they both still look like dragons...
