    Hi! I haven't done one of these in awhile and M14 has gratiously agreed to join me in a race to the finish in Mario 64. This is how is works... 1- Each day M14 and I will be playing 1 hour of Mario 64. 2- After that hour, we will post our results here. 3- No cheats or advantageous glitches allowed. 4- First one to get 70 Stars beating Bowser and reaching the credits is the winner.

    5- The timing will official start each day we we select our file. 6- At the end of every hour, we will turn off the power and then turn it back on posting this screen from the Mario 64 menu. That way, we can't take advantage of the suspended play of the Virtual Console. At the start of every hour- Mario will start outside, running to the castle.

    I already did mines for the day and Blklight watched me play. Here is where i was when my alarm went off and also we shouldn't use Save states lol. I never did anything like this b4 but i beat the game countless times so i always wanted to see whats the fastest i can beat it

    Wow! For one hour of play, that's very impressive M14! I've never attempted a speed run of Mario 64 either so we'll see if I'm up to the challenge. You'll see my progress later tonight.

    Ta da! 7:00pm to 8:00pm tonight...And this is what my screen looked like when my timer went off. So many problems with timing and I even died twice. The horror! You are my better so far M14. But I'm still having a blast. Well done!

    WOOOO This is where i stopped Hour #2. Doing a Triple jump into Wet Dry World was getting kinda frustrating especially when under time restraints. Good luck in your run

    Abysmal. Absolutely abysmal. Day 2, hour 2 and this is the result. (sigh) Everything that could go wrong did! Didn't hit a tree with a cannon, Bowser kept spinning, the monkey at the top of tall tall mountain wouldn't let me catch him for the longest time, I lost to the Koopa race rematch, Got sucked down a vortex, hit by a boulder a the falls...Oh boy the falls!

    I will play until M14 wins. I'm racing to the bitter end. And who knows? Mabe the final Bowser level will take M14 several days to beat. Ha ha ha.

    Yep. I've done this on Miiverse several times and it's a great way to put a new spin on a favorite single player game. Plus, every mistake made feels horrible because you can feel the other player right behind you. (Unless your lead is massive of course.) Ha ha. Another friend challenged me to a Miiverse race on Shovel Knight. This will be my 3rd Shovel Knight race :)
