    In Super Mario Galaxy Terms, there is a black hole. Sometimes, in Sonic Unleashed or Generations(with some new maps ported), there seems to be a solid bottom to land on, but if you actually do so, you lose a life. In Mario 3D Land/3D World, there's nothing. Oh, and in that pit, there's just nothing.
