    @Jake: I know but that's from the Sega Sonic continuity. This is Boom's continuity. Then again, Angel Island was made canon in the show so I guess anything's possible.

    I'm getting the impression that pretty much anything from the original continuity can exist in the Sonic Boom universe, it would just be a separate/alternate version.

    To be fair, there are very few franchises that put thought into stage canon. We can name at least five deserts in the Mushroom Kingdom, all of which are the only desert on the map.
