    If I had to guess, it's simply a nod to one of their peripherals, as far as the name goes. As for the Chain Chomp, I believe it's because they've appeared in Zelda games in the past. At least the gloves don't Look like the old Power Gloves, right? ^-^

    It's Bow-Wow, from Link's Awakening. Basically a chain chomp cameo, sure, but it -was- in a Zelda game. The gauntlets are based off of Link to the Past.
