Todays discussion is the best looking games on Wii U. From a technical standpoint for me its Xenoblade X, with its vast open world and beautiful environments. For pure artstyle I give it to Kirby and the rainbow paintbrush. The clay animation and bright backgrounds are gorgeous on the eye. For 3rd party it goes to Need for speed, Criterion did a super job on the texture work.

I think wonderful 101 looked pretty good! All them flashy visual's and explosives. It has plastic that look everything but I thought looked pretty awesomeb first time saw it. I'd also say zombiU love whole grimy look and really adds to the atmosphere making what I'd say one scariest zombie games I've ever played. Also I'd say Rayman legends, bayonetta 2, xenoblade, Kirby PPB.

Bayonetta 2 is special best action game on all consoles, also rate Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bro & Paper Mario Colour Splash deserves credit. For supposedly weak console it matches Ps4/Xbox.

Off topic - sorry chaps but Lego City is the best Lego game on all accounts & its Wii U exclusive. Best open world game this gen for me thou is Metal Gear 5.

Best looking Wii U games... Yoshi's Woolly World, Super Mario 3D World, Smash Bros. For Wii U, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3. All stunning!

@stephen. I loved metal gear 5 at first, but it all became rather repetitive for me and i stopped playing. Still managed a solid 30 hours though.

Coincidently enough, I also grew tired of metal gear solid v a bit. 3 is favourite, but I haven't played 4, but hear great things about it. :)

Mentioned MGS V from a technical perspective, graphically it's superlative, no poping or tearing & smooth. It don't have Nintendo's fun or Witcher 3 story & characters.

@Stephen- Do you own the Witcher 3? Regarding great story games, I'm currently playing through heavy rain hd ver. Astonished at how the tone of the game changes and stays that way, always raining as well. :p Feel like i'm missing out on some more of nintendo's charm and fun with paper mario though. What happened to all the hate pre-release? ;) - It's amazing really. :)

@ Pete Heavy rain is a good game, one clue I'll mention - the fridge. l like story rich click games as mentioned before. Paper Mario Colour is superb I really can't understand the hate, it's up there among the best. Highly recommend Pete. Witcher 3 is vast like Skyrim, I've put over 118hrs in & still not finished it's the one game on PS4 I've put time in as I love my Wii U.

Witcher 3 has deep & evocative story containing rich characters. Although very long it maintains your interest & for someone like me with short concentration that is something. Going to Splatoon now :-)

I've been away so I'll pull it back on topic, Xenoblade would be my pick too not just beautiful but how everything fits even down to region specific indogens, I'm usually task focused on games but I spent a stupid amount of time just gawping at the views you could get even before the Skell imagine what I was like after. The Trine games should (and have here) also get a nod they're just gorgeous.
