But if Nintendo wanted the physical release for Fatal Frame to be limited, distributing through Limited Run Games would be the ideal route, though GameStop and Amazon wouldn't be bad, either.

@Kyle haha, I searched back until May and he didn't say anything about Fatal Frame other than a cryptic "Oh, and I sent an agreement off for a hugely requested Japanese game. Left that small detail out. No big deal." on August 29th haha. Either way, it's just nuts that these fans (LRG in this case) are literally reaching out to give this a physical release, and still nothing. wut

I'm inching dangerously close to just importing a PAL copy for crying out loud (I am aware of the restrictions). Though my roommate is abroad in Europe right now and offered to search on my behalf as well. If that does end up the case, at least the (larger than necessary) money will go to a worthy company (NoE).

I imported the Euro version earlier this year but have yet to play it because of the useless region lock. Once there is a work around, I'm in. If you do import I hope you can find it at a somewhat reasonable price. When I bought mine the price was really climbing. That being said I will buy it again if we get a physical release here. I really don't want to mess with a work around for region lock,

but in the end I will do what I have to do to play my copy of this game.

@Justin, I don't want to bring too much attention to it, but a region unlocker called ourloader just went live a few days ago, which prompted me to more seriously think of importing since NoA is hopeless. It's still in its infancy but people said FF5 does indeed work with it.

Thanks Craig. I will look into it. More than likely I will wait to do anything until the WiiU is dead and no more system updates are coming. That way I don't have to worry about a bricked system via a system update.

Ah yeah, that's a definite good point. I didn't think twice about getting the patch for FF4 on the original Wii, but that's been dead for years. The Wii U still probably has a good two years left at best maybe? We'll probably know for sure next year.

well whatever that thing is craig. that should make nintendo wake up and say "well it looks like we need to remove region locking" i mean seriously nintendo you might has well give up on the region locking, you can try all you want but people will find ways around it, they do it because they want "OPTIONS"! they want the freedom to play whatever game gets their interest because they are costumers

Sony may remix some ideas that Nintendo has done, but they're surely streets ahead in terms of customer options. Being region free since the PS3 was super forward thinking, and then Microsoft followed suit. Really annoying that such an archaic system is still in place with how advanced technology is now.

alright then, time to make a new announcement about for this weekend, its time to keep reminding nintendo that fatal frame is here to stay, we need to show nintendo how much we love this franchise, the fanbase isn't going away, even if we don't get a physical release, we need to keep reminding nintendo of america that we are not giving up on this franchise, we love it so dearly, forever and ever!

@Craig if I could send images on here I would show you the tweet. Or you could follow @OperationZero_ on Twtr. BUT, Josh just tweeted recently that he wants to reinvestigate publishing on the Wii U. And when gets the contact for that he can talk about a distribution deal for Fatal Frame.

Man, I really hope that works out. I also really envy the universe that has a competent NoA that decided to release this physically on release date last year, cause this one sure sucks big time =(

I'll just never begin to understand how these horrid actions can get defended. When it's Konami, it's #F**Konami. When it's Ubisoft with their season pass nonsense, people call them out and stop preordering altogether. When it's EA, they get voted worst company. But when NoA has some of the most anti-consumer policies/censorship fiascos, they get defended. I can't even find words forhowwrongthatis

You can still like a company but criticize its actions, and NoA has made some of the dumbest I've ever seen in our industry. Sure makes me miss the good old days.

I really hope they make a physical version. I MUCH prefer physical copies and I don't have enough space on my Wii U.

Loadiine is your best option, they will not give us a physical release.
