Small horn could be either pointing away from the body or towards the body (most common). Those with horns pointed away from body are said to be rare and the cause of early deaths.

Supposedly severs soul from body with its sharp "teeth" on lower jaw. Not much is known about these creatures. The only ones said to recognize the existance of these creatures are the rodent and flying shapeshifter clans.

Unlike the other species of demons these are the only ones who don't start off as Nexupa, instead they start as a stone, slab, or tree that has been turned into a true tombstone and coffin.

These demons are also sometimes refered to as "Undertakers" for their habbit of following them around and helping them with their job.

Apologies for this sudden comment, but I saw this post and I was instantly reminded of the Nattravnen, aka Night Raven, from Scandinavian(Swedish) folklore. They are very similar in design and mythical lore, too. The best example of them that you can find is in the video game Year Walk. And my goodness your art style is beautiful. :v I'm kinda jealous X'D

I honestly just mashed stuff together and thought of the bio off the top of my head. XD I didn't know it was kinda like an actual thing though. .o. Thank you so much, I really like your style too. Honestly I draw better on paper or so I think. >w>'

AGREED 100% (on the paper thing, that is X'D). I'm hoping to get a better laptop someday and download a digital art program, whether it is 2D, 3D or both. I also love how realistically you drew that Chameleon on your profile pic. :D And it's adorable, too. ^-^ The mythology on the Nattravnen is really interesting. I've also got a character who can transform into one as a part of his curse.

I just got a drawing tablet last week for my birthday and I'm absolutely terrible on it. <XD Thank you! I'm honestly really proud of that pic and the 9-eyed tiger. I absolutely love realistic drawings. I have another account I'm using to draw 200+ realistic owl species. .o. Curse? How'd he/she get cursed? .3.

That's so cool! (And tbh I'd probably be terrible with trying a different program other than Pokémon Art Academy! XD That's why I want to learn more about digital art in general.) As far as my Miiverse account goes, this has been my only one for almost 4 years. I've changed it a lot over time. :p As for my character, he is a Swedish Plague Doctor from the Medieval era-he goes by Sinclaire.

I wouldn't mind getting something like PAA to be honest, it looks like fun. .o. Your character has a more normal name than most of mine. <XD

(continued) He became cursed when he participated in a Year Walk, an ancient Scandinavian practice of walking through the woods to a church or cathedral on New Year's eve, at midnight. Supposedly, doing so will reveal your future, but only if you are careful. He met a Kyrkogrimen (aka 'Church Grim') that told him of his future, but simultaneously cursed him to become a Nattravnen. :p

I heard Disney Art Academy was even better, and it uses a layer system. :v I have several characters with odd names. Usually though, I'm very careful with the names I pick. I like ones with a lot of lore behind them. As for Year Walk, it's a great video game with a lot of mythology on real Year-Walks and Swedish monsters (and it's on the WiiU too! :D It even has a Miiverse community!)

I always liked unique characters that are related to old myths, I always thought it was neat especially since it gives you the chance to learn new things.

I'm just tired of hearing about Disney. xux I would get it if I had money. .o.

(Can agree-Disney owns almost everything nowadays :v) Mythology is a great source for making characters of any type of genre. And the obscure mythologies are even better for inspiration because it can help make your characters really unique. Like switching out your typical vampire for the Mananaggal of Philippine mythology, for example. :p

I was doing research on shapeshifters for my characters and in Africa leopard shapeshifters are considered gods so now my character is that. She's really weak most of the time. I'm not into my characters being op, makes things boring and cliche XP

That's awesome! There is also an African legend on 'Were-Hyenas', which I've been meaning to check out... A few characters of mine are immortal, and one is invincible, but it is more of a hindrance or curse than help. Sinclaire can still pass away, just not by illness/disease or old age. He is immortal in those aspects. Ironically he can also cause plagues or illness, despite being a doctor.

I think I heard about that but not much else. My character is just about always weak and useless except for her god form which I have yet to even use. xux She looks so pretty in her god form though, I wish I could show you. :'3tt
