There's really no other place to post this, but if you send Nintendo a 3DS with a broken top screen to fix, and if they can't fix it, will they junk it or send it back to you?

    Don't even bother, they always make up an excuse for you to pay. My first 3DS stopped working one day, and I sent it in even though it was still under warranty. However, they shipped it back saying it was water damage and I had to pay. Funny thing is, my 3DS was never near water. I handle all my electronics carefully. There is no way it could have gotten wet. I never dropped it either.

    Hm, well that's unfortunate. I don't think mine is still under warranty, but it was damage that I think goes against warranty anyway. Also I'm expecting to pay, but I just don't want to lose my original system in any way if they can't repair it (so even sending me a new one wouldn't satisfy). I'm thinking I might just buy a new one myself and then system transfer.

    If it's just the screen that's broken, they should have no problem transering the data to a new 3DS. You'll only have to pay 80$ so it's cheaper than buying a new one.
