Some years pass, man comes back with someone else, and they both attack Amnae and Sere. Help arrives after tracking down the attackers and they try to fight them off. Sere is cornered and a power awakens in her that she can't control. It's not clear what she did, but it held off the attackers and she becomes comatose.

When she finally does wake up, enough time has passed and she notices how much her body changed, being a young teenager at this point. Those who helped fight for her offer her to join them as their attackers are still out there and causing trouble and that they used to be friends and allies.

Thinking she could also find out what happened to her mother and where she is, she agrees to join. She is one of two adolescent characters that join, being the positive, naive, and childish type, still carrying her toy bunny. Because of her situation, she's still a kid in an older body, but she's challenged as the story goes on.

The second adolescent character (not drawn, name forgotten) is the negative, depressed, antisocial and lonely type. He also agrees to join as his mother hasn't come back and he founds out she's one of the attackers, her personality and mind twisted and under control by something, and wants to save her.

Sorry if this all sounds so convoluted, that's how it's all presented at the time when I wrote, trying to shove in so much happening at once and not being able to properly explain what's going on. The intention was to explain things later, when things did calm down. Buuut, I can't remember anything past the earliest stuff.

Being a young teen myself at the time of their creation, I was basing them on my own adolescence and somewhat puberty in general, how much of a struggle it can be to have your mind in such a delicate and volatile state. It felt like my personality shifted each year that passed. And these two characters would be the same.

The boy would start to open up more, being forced into situations and seeing what is out there would make him grow and learn more about himself and the world. He doesn't like it, it's not always fun and games, but that's life and he learns to try and make the most of it.

However, Sere would change into what the boy once was, learning that world isn't as simple and nice as she'd initially thought. She continues searching for her mother, and each destination with no clue brings her hopes down more and more. Reality is far from her expectations, and it's harsh.

-- I really really really wish I remember what that ghoulish form of hers is supposed to be - how she ends up like that and why. All I know is that is how she ends up. But it turns out it's going to come in handy, as she happened to be the winner of a battle royale simulator, where she survived by hiding and playing it safe.

And in that battle royale, the winner would get rewritten and redesigned as necessary to be placed into a story as a major character. And that's what I've been doing, starting from her appearance, how and why she's like that, and working from there. But don't expect to see the new Sere 2.0 anytime soon.

Cool, as always. I like how your characters correspon to your age. Mine are usually 17 (Adul Link's Age singing a pattern here?) Actually, I also have lego ocs, because Iplayed so much in real life and the star wars lego games. I kinda wanna know more about the attzckers, why do they attack?

People change differently, but for the same reasons. I love it when I can extract a deep-seated moral from the characters' backstory. It's why I loved Looper, or tried to love Elfen Lied. Gets me going every time. ^~^

@Kaelanpuff I had a bunch of connecting blocks I used to put together in an almost humanoid way and called it "Little Warrior". It didn't even have a face, it was just flat geometric shapes, but I guess I had enough imagination at the time to play with the thing for multiple days. Never really had a personality or backstory, so I personally don't count it as a character.

I'll try and explain some more about who those attackers were in one of my later posts, but there's a thing called GHOST involved. I think it was some form of virus that mind controlled/corrupted those it affected, so the attackers weren't aware or in control of their own actions.

@Uncle_V I like that observation. Yeah, different people see the world differently, so it can affect how one grows up. By the way, I've been really busy lately, but I haven't forgotten about Terry. Once things settle down more, I should have more time to try doodling her.

The last time with the question about how I should draw her was something I had on my mind at the time, so it was good timing when you commented. I was going to eventually ask you anyway. And again, since you commented, I figured I'd let you know how things are going because I didn't exactly make a promise. It's not like you've been bugging me about how it's coming along, so it's all good.

But yeah, I've been super busy with drawing lately and my hands have been full writing. My drawing mood has been going down the longer this little event is going on because of how busy it's keeping me, but it's not gone yet. I don't want to burn out as I still need to draw for another project, so I'm letting you know it might take longer than expected for me to get Terry drawn.
